In September 1986,
Mark and Dave Harrah, two brothers working for their father in Charleston
WV, moved to Greensboro NC and launched the North Carolina distributorship
for Jasper Engines and Transmissions. Mark is a 1979 graduate of West
Virginia University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business.
Dave is a 1986 graduate of Marshall University with a Bachelors degree
in Business Administration.
During the first few months of operation, the company was basically
a two-man team. Since then, the Greensboro office has grown to 20
fulltime employees. In November 1999, the company relocated to a new
facility in one of the Triad's most renowned business communities-
The Piedmont Centre. With five delivery personnel and 10 sales associates
and a territory which stretches as far north as Lynchburg VA and as
far south as Rock Hill SC, the company has geared itself up for continued
growth well into the 21st century.
MISSION STATEMENT
Jasper Engines and Transmissions will provide
the highest quality product in the automotive industry. We will continually
strive to improve our customer service by being on time and doing
the job right the first time. We will be honest and ethical in our
means of conducting business while presenting ourselves in a professional
manner. We will always be courteous and friendly while promoting and
maintaining a long-term customer relationship.
